My name is Linette Britt and I am the Parent Support Specialist helping support CLTS families in Rock and Dane County.

Parenting a child with behavioral, developmental disabilities, or complex needs can feel overwhelming. I partner with families and children that are struggling with understanding their child’s diagnosis, managing difficult behaviors, and navigating services and resources in the community.

I approach each of my individual families with the mindset that each family has a unique story, and each child is unique in their needs. I have over 35 years of experience with children and families, guiding them through a variety of challenging journeys. My experience has touched on the areas of mental health, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and trauma using various evidenced- based parenting modalities.

I empower families using a strength-based model that focuses on growth and resilience in the faces of difficulties. My goal is to help you feel more in tune with your child and develop positive connections. Through education and understanding ways to emotionally regulate yourself, you can provide a loving, supportive, nurturing environment where they can thrive.  Whether it’s exploring local resources, effective parenting strategies, advocating alongside you with service providers, or finding ways to support your child in school or in the community, you don’t have to do it alone.

Some of the areas of concentration are mental health, familial and peer relationships, spirituality, self-awareness, personal space/safety, education, and advocating for their needs. The model is one of collaboration, breaking down real life maladaptive scenarios to ascertain understanding and awareness, while creating new adaptive, healthy skills to put into practice.

I live locally with my two Bengal cats and my daughter. I enjoy music, photography, and travel.
